Genentech is seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to lead access and contracting strategy across our portfolio for payer, PBM, and specialty segments. You will partner with Customer Engagement, Pricing, Legal, and cross-functional squads to shape high-impact access solutions.

Primary location is South San Francisco, CA with remote-eligible status; candidates nationwide will be considered. The role emphasizes strategic analytics and industry expertise in U.S. market access.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (payer/contracting strategy, account management, consulting, market analysis, health economics, distribution strategy, or managed care finance).
• 5+ years of experience within a U.S. Market Access function with pricing, contracting, distribution, policy strategies, and reimbursement across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Expert understanding of managed care dynamics within payer, PBM, and specialty pharmacy segments.

Responsibilities

• Lead access and contracting strategies from concept to execution to maximize patient access and protect Genentech’s profitability across key products and customer accounts.
• Serve as a liaison between Customer Engagement, Pricing, Contracting, and Distribution leads, Legal, and Squad Business Partners to align strategy with priorities.
• Navigate ambiguity to lead cross-portfolio initiatives for emerging customer types or new segments.
• Provide analytical rigor, thought partnership, and negotiation strategies to account teams.
• Synthesize contract performance insights and market trends to inform executive decision-making.
