West Virginia University is seeking a (Hybrid) Senior Academic Advisor for the John Chambers College of Business and Economics. The role focuses on advising students, coordinating programs such as orientation and retention initiatives, and supporting senior leadership with enrollment analysis.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with several years of advising, counseling, and program planning/management experience, and proficiency with student information systems.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years advising or counseling experience.
• Minimum of 2 years program planning/management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, implement and coordinate programs including recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives.
• Assist leadership in analyzing enrollment data to improve retention and completion.
• Collaborate with recruitment staff to increase yield of admits to deposits.
• Guide students in selecting majors, career pathways, and building a professional profile for placement.
• Provide academic counseling to help students matriculate and complete degrees.
