West Virginia University’s Graduate Programs Office in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics seeks a Senior Academic Advisor in a hybrid role. You will advise graduate students, coordinate programming, and support retention initiatives across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities include data-driven enrollment analysis, collaboration with recruitment and career services, and development of degree plans in DegreeWorks to ensure timely degree completion.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; combination of education below master's and experience may be considered.
• At least three years of advising or counseling experience.
• At least two years of program planning/management experience.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement and coordinate graduate programming including recruitment and orientation.
• Analyze enrollment data to improve retention, persistence and completion.
• Collaborate with recruitment and career services to increase admitted students.
• Assist senior leadership with degree audit planning and policy interpretation.
• Provide timely academic counseling for degree selection and progression.
• Develop advising plans in DegreeWorks and monitor persistence and completion.
• Assist with course scheduling and graduation certification.
• Participate in campus and online events to support graduate student success.
