Job summary

The University of New Mexico Honors College seeks a Senior Academic Advisor to support prospective, current, and transfer students, guiding them through honors requirements, program options, and registration. You will work with a dynamic team, connect students to resources, and help achieve retention and graduation goals.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, processing academic paperwork, presenting at orientations, and participating in recruitment efforts while maintaining strict FERPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Experience with evaluating transcripts and advising within higher education preferred.
• Knowledge of FERPA, student retention and progression concepts, and advising best practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate advising records.
• Provide academic advising and guidance to honors students and assist with degree planning.
• Support recruitment and admissions activities and represent the college at campus events.
