Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an Underwriter within Citi’s Institutional Credit Management (ICM) Credit Underwriting ABS team.

You will oversee underwriting for a multi-billion-dollar asset securitization portfolio, ensuring consistent policy application and first-line defensive credit sign-off. Responsibilities include pre-screening deals, reviewing terms, and signaling risk ratings while collaborating with ICM Credit Analysts and the Origination team to support safe wholesale lending in the ABS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent credit analysis and underwriting and credit monitoring skills.
• Proficiency in Excel & Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Work proactively with the Origination team on pre-screening of new deal opportunities and review the initial collateral analysis, preliminary financial analysis, and “greenlight” memoranda.
• Review indicative terms and conditions. Analyze due diligence results and sign off on proposed risk ratings.
• Review and provide a first line of defense sign off on credit approval memos prepared by the ICM Credit Analysts prior to submission for approval by Risk.
• Review and approve deal post-closing amendment, consent, and waiver requests.
