Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an Associate in the Asset-Backed Securitization & Financing group in New York. The role focuses on fintech, subprime auto and private credit verticals, with opportunities to structure transactions and analyze ABS markets.

You will work in small teams, develop rating agency materials, review models, and coordinate with issuers, lawyers and accountants to deliver offerings while supporting sales and client discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
• 2+ years of ABS transaction experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills for deal analytics.
• Ability to develop materials for ratings and investor discussions.
• Experience coordinating deal teams and ensuring accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Expand knowledge of fixed income, capital structures and securitization markets.
• Work in deal teams to structure and originate transactions.
• Develop rating agency materials and transaction analytics.
• Prepare offering documents with issuer, lawyers and accountants.
• Develop materials for sales and syndication and respond to investor inquiries.
• In lending capacity, review asset performance and conduct diligence on platforms.
• Assist with pricing, credit materials and approval processes.
• Coordinate with operations for transaction execution and ongoing monitoring.
• Lead or participate in client discussions and market analysis.
• Develop advanced Excel, PowerPoint and ABS modelling skills.
