Job summary

Easterseals Southern California is hiring a Director of Severe Behavior Services who will provide clinical supervision, direction, and training for associates delivering ABA to individuals with autism and related disorders. The role monitors program quality, staff productivity, and documentation.

The Director leads trainings, participates in leadership activities, and expands the severe behavior services model.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in a field related to ABA, Education, Psychology or similar.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral certification required.
• Five years overseeing treatment for severe behavior problems using ABA.
• Five years supervising BCBAs in a program.
• Eight years supervising in autism-focused, multidisciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the Severe Behavior Services program and supervise Clinical Supervisors.
• Lead Autism Services Leadership activities and participate in committees.
• Provide consultation to clinicians and associates handling challenging behavior cases.
• Oversee assessments for severe/complex behavior and maintain documentation accuracy.
• Develop trainings and resources for services related to severe behavior.
• Coordinate with funding sources to ensure contracts, budgets and compliance.
• Keep current with research and developments in autism and related fields.
