Job summary

HNI Corporation seeks a Lead Workplace Audio Visual Technician to provide technical leadership and hands-on support for collaboration and A/V technology across corporate showrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces in major metropolitan areas. The role requires travel up to 75% and offers opportunities to mentor technicians and partner with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 5+ years supporting enterprise conference room, audio-visual, collaboration, and end-user technologies in a corporate environment.
• Advanced experience with enterprise collaboration and teleconferencing platforms, especially Microsoft Teams/Teams Rooms.
• Experience with A/V signal flow, control and audio processing platforms, network fundamentals, and multi-location deployments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical resource and escalation point for A/V and collaboration systems across corporate spaces.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize A/V equipment including displays, cameras, and conferencing systems.
• Establish room standards, baselines, procedures, and knowledge articles for consistency and supportability.
• Lead root-cause analysis for recurring issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Perform hardware/software upgrades, maintenance, and installations including mounting displays and cabling.
• Provide input on product selection, standards, roadmaps, and strategic decisions affecting conference room technologies.
