Job summary

Howard Technology Solutions is seeking a Senior AV Technician to install, configure, and maintain audiovisual systems across corporate, education, and event environments. The role requires leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring installations meet high industry standards.

You will collaborate with clients on-site, train end-users, and coordinate with site management to meet schedule and quality goals. A decade of AV experience with Crestron/AMX/Extron is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or related degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in commercial AV installation, system integration, and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with AV control systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron) and AV signal flow.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test AV equipment (projectors, displays, sound systems, control systems, video conferencing).
• Set up and calibrate AV systems for optimal performance.
• Run and terminate cables (HDMI, Cat6, fiber) and troubleshoot signal flow problems.
• Lead AV installation projects with technicians; coordinate with site manager to meet deadlines.
• Provide on-site training and knowledge transfer to clients and end-users.
