Job summary

PHI Health, LLC is seeking an A&P-licensed aircraft mechanic to join our life-saving team in Palestine, TX. This role requires a minimum of 2 years as a Certified Aircraft Mechanic, and offers a competitive pay package along with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000.

The successful candidate will review maintenance needs, report unusual situations, maintain aircraft, ensure safety, and maintain tools. Frequent travel and ability to work night shifts are necessary. Candidates must reside within a one-hour drive of Palestine.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
• Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work night shifts.

Position Overview

Join our life‑saving team in Palestine, TX. PHI Health seeks an A&P‑licensed aircraft mechanic with 2+ years as a Certified Aircraft Mechanic to work on our helicopters. A sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 is available.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
• Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, extra manpower, or technical assistance.
• At field bases, maintain all assigned aircraft, review stock levels, and requisition spares to ensure timely repairs.
• Ensure the safety and security of all company assets at field bases.
• Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, and personally certify aircraft logs and related inspection and maintenance forms that work meets FAA, manufacturer, and PHI Health standards.
• Record entries in RAMCO, including work packages, status sheets, removals, and installs in the physical structure.
• Maintain close communication with the Lead Mechanic and AMBS, and other agents, to ensure effective and timely job completion.
• Maintain parts inventory and recommend level changes when necessary.
• Maintain company‑provided special tools and ensure calibration is performed as scheduled.
• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant endorsements.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
• Basic communication and computer skills.
• Ability to pass a pre‑placement physical exam, functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility, lift up to 100 pounds), drug screening, and background check.
• For PHI Roving Maintenance Team: sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting/repair skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice, and to work night shifts as maintenance events dictate.

Location / Schedule

Base: Palestine, TX. Candidates must live within a one‑hour drive or 60 miles of the base. Travel between bases is required.
