Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) in New York seeks an experienced Architects & Engineers underwriter to join the Professional Liability team. You will underwrite design professionals, build a profitable book, and cultivate broker and client relationships to deliver disciplined, high-quality service.

The role offers the chance to influence underwriting strategy across multiple offices and collaborate with a team focused on profitability, integrity, and client value.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of underwriting experience preferred; candidates with a minimum of 3 years of A&E underwriting experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong technical skills in analyzing design professional risks.
• Solid understanding of policy forms and coverage.
• Network of strong broker and client relationships.
• Collaborative and team-focused mentality.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

• Establish, develop, and expand on broker and customer relationships.

• Effectively communicate BHSI’s value proposition to brokers and customers.
• Work closely with our in-house claims team to help create a positive and transparent experience for our customers.
