Job summary

ST MARYS COUNTY GOVERNMENT seeks an experienced professional to manage the 911 Center’s CAD and related platforms, ensuring data integrity and seamless transfers between users. You’ll train staff on CAD operations, coordinate with IT and partners, and support system enhancements for responsive public safety operations.

The role also involves scheduling and performing dispatcher duties during staffing shortages, maintaining certifications, and liaising with vendors for upgrades and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years or more of related professional experience.
• Experience managing a Public Safety Access Point (PSAP) preferred.
• CPR certification.
• NENA Center Manager Certification within one year of hire.
• NENA Emergency Number Professional certification within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage the department's CAD system, mobile and webview applications, data-archiving solutions, and analytical platforms (e.g., Tyler Enterprise suite).
• Coordinate with Sheriff’s Office, fire, and rescue personnel for operational needs and system changes.
• Process input on dispatch protocols and unit assignments to ensure timely system updates.
• Ensure training is performed per approved plans and address training needs.
• Maintain access and security for CAD systems and third-party interfaces.
• Assist IT with resolving application issues across CAD platforms.
• Overlap duties as Public Safety Dispatcher when staffing requires.
