Job summary

Prince William County Government's Department of Public Safety Communications seeks a seasoned 9-1-1 Systems Administrator to sustain CHE, voice networks, and telephony for the county's PSAP.

You will lead day-to-day administration, troubleshoot, and plan system upgrades while coordinating vendors and reporting to County leadership.

Ideal candidates have strong telephony/VOIP, networking, and public safety IT experience, with a proven ability to maintain high-availability emergency communications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in telephony, VOIP, call processing, or voice logging system administration
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the 9-1-1 call handling equipment and voice network.
• Troubleshoot telephony systems and voice logging environment.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and carriers.
• Prepare state 9-1-1 reporting, grant progress, and performance reporting.
• Provide planning updates to department and County leadership.
