Job summary

Prince William County is seeking an experienced Radio Manager to lead the Public Safety Radio team responsible for a critical P25 system and communications infrastructure. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic program management to ensure reliability, security, and modernization.

You will partner with Police, Fire and Rescue, Emergency Management and other county offices, directing operations, budgets, vendor contracts, and lifecycle planning for capital projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 7 years of experience managing/leading technical teams.
• Experience with public safety radio systems and related infrastructure is preferred.
• Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and lifecycle planning for critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, reliability, and modernization of the public safety radio system.
• Lead technical team and coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, and public safety leadership.
• Manage budgets, contracts, and lifecycle replacement of critical infrastructure.
