Job summary

Cirtec Medical is seeking a Sr. CNC Tool Maker (5 Axis) to own the lifecycle of high-tolerance components from CAD review to tooling selection and 5-axis programming.

You will set up and run 5-axis mills to produce precision molds and dies in a strict, climate-controlled environment. The role requires deep knowledge of tool geometry, speeds/feeds, and work-holding, with hands-on machining and quality checks using CMM and other precision tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• At least 2 years in 5-axis simultaneous operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of cutting tool geometry, speeds/feeds, and work-holding.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5 axis milling centers to produce high-precision molds and dies.
• CAM programming using Gibbs Cam, Fusion 360, Mastercam/Hypermill to create toolpaths.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Validate part tolerances using CMM, optical comparators, and precision tools.
• Identify and resolve machining issues such as tool deflection, vibration, and thermal expansion.
