Job summary

Cirtec Medical seeks a Sr. CNC Tool Maker (5 Axis) to design, program, and manufacture high-tolerance parts for complex medical devices.

You will review CAD models, select specialized tooling, and drive 5-axis programs from setup through final inspection. This on-site role requires at least 5 years in CNC machining, with 2 years in 5-axis operations, plus strong knowledge of tool geometry, speeds/feeds, and precision measurement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in CNC machining with at least 2 years in 5-axis simultaneous operations
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Deep understanding of cutting tool geometry, speeds/feeds and advanced work-holding strategies
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a climate-controlled environment

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis milling centers to produce high-precision molds and dies
• CAM programming using Gibbs Cam, Fusion 360, Mastercam/Hypermill to optimize toolpaths
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Validate part integrity using CMM, optical comparators, and precision tools
• Identify and resolve machining issues including tool deflection and thermal effects
