Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, located in Plano, TX, is seeking a 4G/5G RAN Subject Matter Expert to join the Wireless Networks team. You will contribute as a technical SME across R&D, systems engineering, and product validation to introduce Samsung wireless products to carriers.

The role requires extensive 4G/5G call processing expertise, 3GPP RAN knowledge, and strong collaboration to deliver advanced network features and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of engineering experience in 4G/5G call processing.
• Deep knowledge of signaling protocols; LTE/NR interworking & co-existence.
• Experience with 3GPP RAN architecture, design and KPIs.
• Knowledge of RF antennas and network optimization.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop feature requirements and perform 4G/5G call processing analysis.
• Lead technical discussions with customer teams and cross-functional groups.
• Prepare technical proposals, white papers, and design documents.
• Support product validation and performance analyses.
• Lead testing and deployment of 4G/5G features with customers.
• Provide Tier 3 support for scheduler-related issues.
