Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a 3rd Shift Senior Process Control Technician for a premier die casting manufacturer in the Cedarburg, WI area.

This direct-hire role focuses on monitoring and optimizing high-pressure aluminum die casting process parameters, driving down scrap, and ensuring OEM quality standards. You will troubleshoot defects, review X-ray data, and work with quality and engineering teams to maximize first-pass yield.

Qualifications

• 2+ years tenure at each previous employer is required.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in process control within manufacturing (aluminum die casting, plastic injection molding, or metalworking preferred).
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI area.
• US work authorization without sponsorship is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required; technical diploma or vocational degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical process variables including melt temps, shot profiles, injection speeds, and cycle times.
• Analyze and resolve defects such as porosity, cold shuts, soldering, and thermal shrinkage.
• Optimize machine parameters for new launches, die trials, and production runs.
• Maintain standardized process setup sheets and operating instructions.
• Execute production trials with quality/engineering teams to improve first-pass yield.
• Support quality and inspection by reviewing real-time data and X-ray results.
• Train operators and setup techs on standardized process parameters and best practices.
