Job summary

You will evaluate 3D sensing technologies and define requirements that drive verifiable system behavior, collaborating with hardware, software, and controls engineers. You have 6+ years in systems engineering, computer vision, or robotics, with strong skills in 3D sensing, requirements management, and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Evaluate and benchmark 3D sensing technologies and perception algorithms.
• Define system requirements for sensing, perception, and robotics with traceability.
• Collaborate with vendors to validate algorithmic components.
• Develop test methods and acceptance criteria for sensing and algorithms.
• Support integration with hardware/software/controls engineers.
• Perform risk analysis and design reviews for sensing and robotics.
• Contribute to quality processes within regulatory frameworks (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and benchmark 3D sensing technologies (e.g., structured light, ToF, stereo, LiDAR) and CV perception algorithms.
• Define system and subsystem requirements for sensing, perception, and robotics with traceability.
• Partner with third-party contractors to define, review, and validate algorithmic components.
• Develop test methods, protocols, and acceptance criteria for algorithm performance.
• Support integration of perception and robotics algorithms with hardware and software subsystems.
• Analyze performance data, identify failure modes, and drive root-cause investigations.
• Contribute to risk analysis and design reviews for sensing/perception/robotics.
• Align development with a regulatory V-model framework.
