The State of Colorado seeks a session-only policy analyst for the Senate Minority caucus to provide research and analysis of legislation for Senators and staff. The role requires on-site presence with evening and weekend hours as dictated by the Senate schedule.

You will read and analyze introduced legislation, brief Senators, and track bill progression, collaborating with non-partisan staff and House/Senate offices as needed. Comprehensive state benefits apply.

Qualificações

• Strong reading comprehension and writing skills.
• Familiarity with the Colorado legislative process.
• Able to work long hours and in a demanding environment.
• Organized, collaborative, and able to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Read and analyze all legislation that is introduced.
• Prepare legislative research for Senators and staff for committees and the Senate floor.
• Meet with Senators regularly to brief them about legislation.
• Track the status of legislation as it moves through the process.
