Job summary

Five Education is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant in Somerset to support secondary students with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. You will adapt teaching methods and provide tailored support in a well-resourced educational environment.

The role requires experience with SEND and a commitment to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all learners. Benefits include free specialized training and reimbursement of DBS fees after 20 days of work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with Autism, ADHD, and speech/language difficulties.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Current DBS check registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to students.
• Adapt materials and teaching methods to diverse needs.
• Support students in developing communication and independent skills.
• Supervise students during breaks, ensuring wellbeing.
