Job summary

The Center for Acoustics and Vibration at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a friendly, part-time team member to support our seminar series and website during the academic year. You will help deliver a smooth seminar experience from promotion to day-of logistics, working closely with the Director.

Responsibilities include coordinating bi-weekly or weekly seminars, configuring Zoom, posting promotions, and uploading recordings. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (email writing and promotional copy).
• Comfort using Zoom and basic website posting workflows.
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with on-site logistics and basic A/V setup.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bi-weekly seminars during the academic year (arrive early, set up basic A/V, on-site point person, assist with cleanup).
• Set up Zoom webinars and support hybrid/virtual speaker events.
• Create and post event promotions (website posts, email announcements/reminders, and other channels).
• Post event recordings to the website after each event.
