Job summary

Intel Corporation is seeking a Process Integration and Yield Technician to optimize processes, reduce defects, and improve yield and reliability in its semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role involves failure analysis, defect characterization, and close collaboration with engineers to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings relevant STEM education and hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate-degree plus 4+ years hands-on lab or manufacturing experience in semiconductor/high-tech environments.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years hands-on lab or manufacturing experience in semiconductor/high-tech environments.
• Physical demands: standing/walking up to 80% of workday; precision manual activities such as soldering small devices and polishing.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis to determine root causes of electrical/physical failures.
• Analyze defects using SEM and other tools; characterize defects and document findings.
• Conduct electrical validation, fault isolation, and defect characterization on devices failing tests.
• Develop reports with recommendations; communicate results to engineers and management.
• Execute experiments and process evaluations to support yield improvement.
• Analyze inline defect, parametric, reliability, and end-of-line data to identify trends.
• Collaborate with process integration, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and engineering teams on CAPAs.

Education

Associate degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or another STEM-related field

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or another STEM-related field
