Job summary

KLA is seeking a Technical Development Instructor to partner with engineering teams during product development and transform cutting-edge innovations into world-class training for service engineers and customers globally.

This role blends technical learning with advanced engineering, designing programs for alpha/beta customers and early adopters, while exploring AR/MR and AI-assisted content creation to accelerate knowledge transfer. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Technical Education, Instructional Design, or related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.
• Ability to rapidly learn complex technical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive where products and requirements evolve.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Become a technical subject matter expert on selected new semiconductor products or platforms during early development phases.
• Design and develop blended learning solutions including digital learning, instructor-led training, hands-on labs, performance support tools, certifications, simulations, and emerging learning technologies.
• Create instructor guides, learner materials, assessments, certification paths, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Product Support, Manufacturing, and Field organizations to ensure technical accuracy as products evolve.
• Define multi-level competency and certification frameworks.
• Deliver specialized training for alpha/beta customers, early-adopter field engineers, and Train-the-Trainer programs.
• Explore innovative delivery methods, including AR/MR, AI-assisted content creation, hybrid learning, and scenario-based learning.
