Job summary

Qualifications

  • Develop and deliver training on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced semiconductor tools.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to build product expertise.
  • Create and continuously improve training materials, including presentations, videos, and digital learning modules.
  • Lead training projects with planning, stakeholder alignment, and progress tracking.
  • Translate complex technical documentation into clear, structured training content.
  • Support hands-on activities such as tool builds, installs, upgrades, and field support.
  • Review and validate service procedures and drive improvements to documentation.
  • Leverage modern tools to enhance training delivery (virtual learning, AR, simulations).
  • Travel 20-30% is required.

Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

As a Technical Trainer, you will collaborate closely with senior instructors, engineering teams, and field support partners to build your expertise on advanced semiconductor tools. You'll take ownership of developing training programs, creating engaging learning content, and delivering high-quality training to field service engineers and customers worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to build deep product expertise
  • Create and continuously improve training materials, including presentations, videos, and digital learning modules
  • Lead training projects, including planning, stakeholder alignment, and progress tracking
  • Translate complex technical documentation into clear, structured, and engaging training content
  • Support hands‑on activities such as tool builds, installs, upgrades, and field support to stay current on product changes
  • Review and validate service procedures and drive improvements to documentation
  • Leverage modern tools (e.g., virtual learning, simulations, AR) to enhance training delivery
  • Travel of 20-30% is required
