Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer in Houston to design and execute bulk and specialty gas and chemical systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. You will work under senior engineers, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting project phases to deliver safe, reliable plant utilities.

The role targets mid-level engineers aiming to deepen semiconductor project experience, with flexible telework options and collaboration across global Bechtel sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• 58 years of relevant process engineering experience.
• Semiconductor manufacturing or process utility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of bulk and specialty gas and chemical systems.
• Prepare and update process deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Participate in technical reviews, safety and operability studies, and design reviews.
• Assist with code compliance, vendor evaluations, and construction-phase support.
• Identify design issues and propose solutions for review by senior engineers.
• Support estimates, work plans, schedules, and progress reporting.
