Job summary

KLA in Taylor, Texas is hiring a Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair semiconductor equipment, prepare service reports, and support customers with quotes and PM activities. You will collaborate with field service teams to ensure timely parts handling and knowledge capture, contributing to continuous improvement.

The role requires 2+ years in semiconductors or related fields or an equivalent degree, with preferred AS and engineering degrees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in semiconductor or related field or military service experience, or equivalent college degree.
• Preferred: ASET (Associate of Science in Electronics Technology).
• Preferred: BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems under direction and supervision.
• Prepare Field Service Reports on customer support activity and provide documentation to supporting functions.
• Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses and parts needed under direction and supervision.
• Return parts to distribution center on time.
• Perform PM on assigned products by themselves.
• Carry out CM following POA provided to them.
• Assist other field service and support Install Engineers.
