Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, Texas is seeking an Equipment Technician to join a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing team that produces cutting-edge semiconductor devices. You will perform preventative maintenance on fab equipment, follow SOPs and OCAPs, work with engineers and technicians in a cleanroom environment, and help solve complex problems with structured thinking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Technical degree preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude highly desired.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience on Implanters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practice 6S in the office and fab, holding safety as the number 1 priority.
• Follow SOPs, PTPs, and Out of Control Action Plans (OCAPs) to work efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) including mechanical assembly/disassembly on fab equipment.
• Use structured problem solving to help find impactful solutions to complex problems.
• Affectively communicate with engineers, leaders, and teammates.
• Work in a team environment on the cleanroom floor in a full cleanroom smock.
