Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX is seeking an Implant Equipment Technician to maintain state-of-the-art semiconductor production equipment and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, defect reduction, and total cost of ownership.

You will support 24/7 high-volume manufacturing, follow SOPs/OCAPs, perform PM/BM on implant and anneal tools, and learn to use GUIs and data extraction for rapid problem resolution.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; technical degree or military technical experience preferred.
• 2+ years industrial manufacturing experience required.
• Prior Semiconductor experience with AMAT VIISta Axcelis Paradigm Nissin Exceed AMAT Centura AMAT Vantage Mattson Millios Veeco LSA preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong analytical skills to find impactful solutions to complex problems.
• Understanding Lean Principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Practicing 6S in the office and fab; safety first; identify safety risks across procedures and daily operations.
• Assisting team members with daily workload and sustaining activities in the fab.
• Following SOPs, PTPs, and OCAPs to work efficiently, safely, and cost‑effectively.
• Performing Electrical, Pneumatic, and Mechanical troubleshooting.
• Performing Mechanical assembly and disassembly.
• Performing PM (Preventive Maintenance) and BM (Break down Maintenance) on Implanter and Anneal tools.
• Learning how tools operate and recovery procedures for breakdowns.
• Using tool GUIs to recover issues and extract data.
• Cross-training on ion-implantation and rapid thermal processing equipment.
