Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta's Fab8 is seeking a Maintenance Technician to monitor, sustain and improve equipment in a 24/7 300mm manufacturing environment. You will partner with production teams, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and communicate status updates to Lead Tech and Engineers.

The role requires mechanical/electrical skills, the ability to read schematics, and the ability to work in a cleanroom with required PPE. GF offers strong benefits and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent) and technical training.
• 2-year technical degree or associate degree preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience or 2 years military experience.
• English language proficiency (written & verbal).
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and sustain manufacturing readiness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues using mechanical, electronic, and PC skills.
• Communicate equipment status and end-of-shift pass-downs to leads/engineers.
• Follow detailed instructions and maintain safety with EHS&S policies.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced fab environment.
