Job summary

Hill View School is a specialist SEMH provision seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our trauma-informed team on a 1-1 basis. This role goes beyond traditional classroom support, building trusting relationships to help learners overcome barriers and reach their potential.

You will work 32.5 hours per week, term time plus INSET days (8:30am–3:30pm, Mon–Fri). We offer a supportive environment, training, safeguarding focus, and a salary of £18,943 with opportunities within The Oak

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate learners to achieve goals, fostering confidence and resilience.
• Provide 1:1 support during dysregulation and during off-site activities.
• Contribute to a therapeutic learning environment using co-regulation and our Bounce Approach.
• Help learners develop life skills like communication and emotional regulation.
• Model school values: We Stay Safe, We Are Respectful, We Learn More.
• Collaborate with therapists, parents/carers and class teams.
