Sell Through Manager, Cooling

Irvine, CA / Full‑time


Responsibilities

The Sell Through Manager will be responsible for product launch management and product lifecycle management, in collaboration with the Product Owner (PO). Leader for cross‑functional teams in go‑to‑market excellence, with strategic planning for product market position.

As the first point of contact to the Business Unit (BU), utilize interpersonal relationships to gain business and sales intel. Maintain ongoing review and tracking of product category sell‑out data, turnover and profit, regarding regional product assortments. Responsible for using data‑driven insights to optimize and sustain business growth. Collaborate with sales and demand planning for sustaining product availability, and lead communications to the sales organization and downstream counterparts.

Align with cross‑functional marketing partners (e.g., brand, regional, trade, digital, PR, agencies) to localize global and regional marketing plans, and ensure product representation accuracy for launch and lifecycle. Lead development of assets for go‑to‑market, in‑market product support, and digital sales enablement.

Maintain external socialization and ownership of product development process (PDP), with PO team; throughout PDP timeline, lead launch updates, planning and ensure coherence with market requirements for product features and pricing structure.

Sell Through Manager manages end‑to‑end projects and day‑to‑day business with oversight from Head of Sell Through. Helps define BU strategy and ensures BU KPI’s are met. Supports Sr. Sell Through Manager, Product Owners. May have functional support from Sell Through Associate (if applicable to BU structure).

  • Manage go‑to‑market launch strategy for new products, and maintain product lifecycle for assortment defined by Head of Sell Through.
  • Be the first point of contact for the BU for all cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent professional relationship management with key stakeholders.
  • Support BU sell‑through strategy and implementation.
  • Partnership with PO during PDP process to ensure timely sales communication; align sales stakeholders, socialize product concepts/features with discretion, and compile feedback for BU leaders to action.
  • Strong analytical skills; PowerBI knowledge, data mining in Excel, creating competitive analyses, and synthesizing findings & recommendations into all presentable outputs.
  • Strong presentation skills required to create and deliver the product launch story for sales and customers.
  • Develop trade and customer specific sell‑through strategy for product category with success metrics, in collaboration with field and customer sales.
  • Align and influence promotional strategy with Sales Steering.
  • Identify and address ongoing lifecycle product improvement opportunities related to product claims, brand campaign extension, POSM development and sales & training messaging.
  • Monitor product performance at regional level across US and Canada (incl. framework for channel management regarding assortment and pricing).
  • Analyze, compile and define market requirements concerning trends, consumers, competitors, distribution, based on regional consumer journey.
  • Monitor voice of shopper/consumer, with Consumer Insights Manager, to inform portfolio feature requests and ensure alignment for product development, in collaboration with the PO.
  • Lead claims development, feature naming and product positioning with brand and legal in preparation for new product launches or product lifecycle refresh.
  • Prepare and present the product line to dealers, via meetings or trade shows.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree – Marketing/Business – Required.
  • Master’s degree – Marketing/Business – Preferred.
  • 5–7 years experience – Category management, product management, product marketing, sales and promotional budget steering – Required.
  • Optimistic, creative and motivating personality, with excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Market and consumer knowledge, knowing customers and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of value chain with focus on marketing and sales.
  • Marketing and/or promotional budget steering.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders, sought‑after networker & partner.
  • Expertise in go‑to‑market strategy and product launch.
  • Expertise in assortment management (regional and local levels).
  • Knowledge of pricing systems design, execution and controlling.
  • Execution of holistic marketing concepts with regional focus.
  • Awareness of MDA trends and features, BSH market position, with ability to synthesize data to summarize and communicate actionable findings.
  • Solution‑oriented, challenger mindset for collaborative ways of working.
  • Must have skill at analysis, planning, and negotiation.
  • Ability to provide purpose, commitment, and transparency with clear expectation setting.
  • Travel required based on business needs; domestic and international.
  • Experience in home appliances or consumer electronics is a plus, experience in marketing or sales required.

  • BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.
