Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a dedicated Construction Engineer to support self-perform work on our complex projects in New York. You will closely collaborate with SPW crews, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure scope requirements, production schedules, and quality standards are met while tracking labor productivity and material usage.

The role emphasizes reviewing drawings, resolving technical questions, monitoring budgets, and maintaining detailed SPW documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in construction engineering or a related field.
OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred; completion within 6 months of hire.
Experience with self-perform work and coordinating with SPW crews is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review contract drawings, specs, and submittals for SPW scopes for accuracy.
Collaborate with SPW project managers and crews to resolve technical questions.
Monitor SPW schedules and budgets and report variances.
Support SPW QA and safety protocols across all phases.
Prepare daily SPW crew reports, logs, and field change documentation.
Participate in SPW coordination meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
