Job summary

Brain Injury Association of Colorado (BIAC) seeks a Program Manager - Self-Management to lead the Self-Management program and mentor staff while engaging directly with clients in the Denver region.

You will train clients in daily living skills, coordinate program activities and supervise two staff roles, with travel within the state as needed. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and experience in program management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and minimum one year of experience managing a program and/or staff in areas relevant to the position.
• Experience teaching life skills such as organization, financial management, healthy lifestyle, social skills, job skills, computer and internet usage.
• Experience working with people with cognitive disabilities and/or behavioral health challenges.
• Access to reliable transportation for travel within the region this position serves as needed.
• Ability to travel occasionally to meetings and events within the state, sometimes after hours and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Self-Management program staff while working face-to-face with clients in the region.
• Meet face-to-face with clients for an average of one hour per week in their home community or virtually.
• Train clients to develop, grow and practice functional tasks like scheduling, calendar use, meal planning and paperwork filing.
• Supervise Self-management Advisors and related staff across multiple regions.
• Coordinate with HR, recruit and onboard staff and support annual reviews.
