Job summary

Empowering People's Independence in Fulton, NY seeks a caregiver to assist an older gentleman with brain injury and other disabilities, serving as an advocate and liaison for rights and benefits.

Responsibilities include supervising and helping with daily living activities, personal care, and community outings, with a per diem schedule of 5-10 hours weekly. Job description

Job Purpose:

• Assist individuals with brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other neurological disabilities in achieving a challenging, stimulating, dignified life by serving as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of individuals’ rights and benefits.

Essential Functions:

• Provide supervision, training, and assistance in accomplishing activities of daily living, which includes, but is not limited to, self-care skills, social skills, recreation skills, community skills, and domestic skills for a older gentleman. He enjoys socializing and going out into the community. He would benefit from a mentor who could serve as a positive role model for overall personal appearance and who could aid with his ADL's especially with personal care. The care provider is looking for someone who could work up to one day per week.

Location:

Fulton, NY

Schedule:

• Per Diem (0-19.9)
• Monday-Friday (5-10 hours per week based on availability)

Pay Rate:

$25/hr-$27/hr

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent; one-year experience in the human service field preferred.
