Job summary

The State of Maryland, MDH Developmental Disabilities Administration in Laurel, MD, seeks a qualified professional to coordinate, implement, and track the Self-Directed Services program in the Southern Maryland Region. You will supervise the Regional Self-Advocacy Specialist and staff who review and approve Person-Centered Plans, ensuring compliance with HCBS waivers and Maryland regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalency.
• Experience: 3 years of professional experience coordinating health-related programs or referring people to resources.
• Notes: 30 college credits may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Notes: U.S. Armed Forces health administration or Civil Affairs service may substitute for experience/education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, implement, and track the Self-Directed Services program in the Southern Maryland Region.
• Supervise the Regional Self-Advocacy Specialist and staff who review and approve Person-Centered Plans.
• Provide oversight, guidance, training, and problem solving to ensure program effectiveness.
