Job summary

Golden Gate Regional Center, located in the San Rafael area, seeks a Supervisor Social Worker for its Self Determination Program. The role includes training, advocacy, service planning and administrative duties in SDP, with hybrid work and travel across San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin counties.

The position requires a Social Work degree, a clinical license, and 4+ years post‑Masters experience, including 2+ years in a Regional Center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Clinical License at time of hire and ability to maintain license in good standing preferred
• 4+ years post‑Master’s work with increasing responsibility
• 2+ years Regional Center experience

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact for SDP questions and training internally and externally.
• Initiates and responds to communications on service eligibility and standards.
• Collaborates with clients and families to develop and monitor program plans.
• Provide advocacy and train individuals and families in advocacy issues.
• Maintain required case records and prepare reports.
• Engage in Person-Centered planning meetings to develop budgets and plans.
• Serve as GGRC staff support to the SDLAC and attend monthly meetings.
• Adhere to monitoring requirements and complete progress reports.
• Coordinate and monitor SDP budgets and related reporting.
• Potentially function as Independent Facilitator for SDP delivery.
• Provide community information and update SDP content online.
• Perform other duties and serve as back-up to staff as needed.
• Participate in supervisory on-call rotation and special projects.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and Lanterman Act.
