Job summary

Lancaster City Schools seeks a Special Education Educational Assistant- Self Contained at Tarhe Trails Elementary in Lancaster, OH to support teachers in delivering inclusive, targeted instruction and to assist students with special needs in a self-contained setting.

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma, pass the Paraprofessional Test (or CDA), and have Child Abuse, First Aid/CPR, and Communicable Disease certifications, plus a clear BCI/FBI report.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• Paraprofessional Test passage or CDA certification (as applicable).
• Clear BCI/FBI background check.
• Child Abuse certification and CPR/First Aid training.
• Communicable Disease certification and ability to work with students with emotional/behavioral needs.
• Experience in classroom with handicapped students is preferred.
