Lancaster City Schools seeks a Special Education Educational Assistant- Self Contained for Tarhe Trails Elementary in Lancaster. The role supports students with diverse learning needs and helps implement individualized instruction in a supervised setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, an educational aide license or CDA, and required certifications. Experience with handicapped students and ability to manage challenging behaviors are valued.

Qualifications

• A valid license to practice as an educational aide.
• Passage of the Paraprofessional Test, Two year degree or CDA Certification (as applicable)

• Classroom experience with handicapped students
• Must be able to deal appropriately with students who exhibit emotional or behavioral problems, aggressive behavior, or physical problems
