Job summary

Lancaster City Schools seeks a Special Education Educational Assistant- Self Contained for Tarhe Trails Elementary in Lancaster. The role supports students with diverse learning needs and helps implement individualized instruction in a supervised setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, an educational aide license or CDA, and required certifications. Experience with handicapped students and ability to manage challenging behaviors are valued.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Educational aide license or CDA certification preferred.
• Paraprofessional Test passing or eligibility required.
• Child Abuse, CPR/First Aid and communicable disease certifications expected.
• Clear BCI/FBI background check is mandatory.
• Experience with handicapped students preferred.
• Ability to handle students with emotional/behavioral challenges.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered by the Superintendent.
