PAQ, Inc. is seeking a Self-Checkout (SCO) Attendant to supervise SCO stations, assist customers, and ensure accurate, efficient checkout operations. The role emphasizes friendly service, cash handling, and adherence to store policies in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires standing for long periods, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and availability on weekends/evenings. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to grow within the store.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service and resolve concerns, with supervisor assistance as needed.
• Supervise SCO stations and ensure accuracy in scanning items and processing payments.
• Maintain SCO stations and promptly address any technical issues.
• Manage customer flow at SCOs to minimize wait times.
• Assist customers with the SCO process, including scanning, payments, and bagging.
• Comply with California alcohol regulations and verify IDs to prevent underage sales.
