Job summary

Food Lion in Thomasville, NC is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador to provide fast, friendly service at the front end and assist customers with self-checkout to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

You will greet customers, guide them through self-checkout, answer questions and maintain the self-checkout area in a clean, organized state. Training and adherence to Food Lion Front End standards are part of the role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers on how to use Self-checkouts properly including use of the hand scanner for a Fast and Easy checkout experience.
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor multiple self-checkouts for proper customer usage including the scanning of all items and the accurate scanning of each item.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers per service standards.
