Food Lion is hiring for a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service and support customers at self-checkout. You will greet customers, assist with SCO usage, handle payments, and help maintain clean, organized checkout areas.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet customers and use their name whenever possible.
• Assist customers with Self-checkouts and hand scanner for fast checkout.
• Respond to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications.
• Monitor self-checkouts for proper usage and accurate scanning.
• Remind customers of items located on the bottom of the cart or under seats.
• Assist in scanning orders and provide payment instructions.
• Complete self-checkout voids and age verifications per Front End standard.
• Follow procedures for checks and coupons.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed.
• Engage self-checkout customers needing help.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain neat appearance.
• Collect and return shopping carts from the self-checkout area.
• Ensure the self-checkout area is neat and clean.
• Report any self-checkout issues to the Customer Service Manager or MOD.
• Perform CBT and training aid courses.
• Ensure self-checkouts are supplied with proper bags.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
