Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide fast, friendly service at the Front End. You will greet customers, assist with Self-checkouts, and help maintain a smooth checkout experience.

Responsibilities include monitoring lanes, guiding customers on scanning, resolving issues, and upholding Food Lion Front End Standards. The role requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Assist customers with Self-Checkout and SCO hand scanner usage.
• Respond to customer inquiries and system notifications.
• Monitor self-checkout lanes for proper usage and scanning accuracy.
• Maintain neat and clean self-checkout area and report issues.
• Follow Front End Standard Practice and payment processing procedures.
• Assist in scanning orders and provide payment instructions when needed.
• Wear uniform and maintain professional appearance.
