Quality Construction Services in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking a detail-oriented Selections Coordinator to guide homeowners through flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and finishes. The role requires coordinating with vendors and the project team to keep selections moving on schedule and within budget.

You don't need interior design drawings; a good eye for color, strong follow-through, and the ability to build trusting client relationships matter most.

Qualifications

• Experience in selections coordination, residential construction or remodeling, showroom sales, home improvement, client relations, or a related customer-facing role.
• A warm, energetic approach that helps clients feel excited and supported throughout their project.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several clients and deadlines at once.
• Comfort discussing budgets, pricing, and timelines and following through on decisions.
• An interest in residential materials and finishes, with an eye for color and visual coordination.
• Confidence using common office software and learning Buildertrend or similar project management tools.
• Reliable transportation for approved local business travel.
• A high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with homeowners, learn their priorities, and help them compare materials and finishes that fit their style, project scope, and budget.
• Guide selections for items such as flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures, lighting, hardware, paint, windows, doors, and exterior finishes.
• Help clients understand how colors, textures, and finishes work together, drawing on available samples and visual references.
• Arrange showroom and vendor visits, gather samples, and follow up with clients to keep decisions moving.
• Track selections, allowances, pricing, approvals, and deadlines in Buildertrend.
• Explain upgrades, substitutions, credits, and related costs; document decisions and obtain client sign-offs.
• Check product availability and lead times, provide alternatives when needed, and give the project team advance notice before materials are required.
• Communicate finalized selections and changes to project managers, purchasing, scheduling, installation teams, and bookkeeping.
• Maintain organized project records and participate in client meetings, walkthroughs, and team meetings as needed.

We're looking for an organized, enthusiastic Selections Coordinator who enjoys working with homeowners and helping them feel confident about the choices that shape their homes. You'll guide clients through materials and finishes, coordinate with vendors and our project team, and keep selections moving on schedule.

Experience or education in interior decorating, design principles, kitchen and bath selections, or a related field is a plus. Buildertrend experience is also helpful. Drafting, CAD, and technical design software are not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay: $20-$25 per hour, based on experience and responsibilities.

Sales Performance Incentive Program (SPIP): Eligible team members may earn an additional incentive equal to 0.5% of the qualifying Job Running Total for qualifying projects. Based on QCS's current annual revenue of approximately $4 million, this could represent up to approximately $20,000 in additional annual income, with potential total compensation of up to approximately $72,000 at the top of the base pay range. Incentives depend on qualifying projects and performance and are not guaranteed.

Opportunity to Grow into Client Relations

For someone who enjoys sales and building lasting relationships, this role may grow to include Client Relations Manager responsibilities. That could mean helping prospective clients understand the QCS process and remaining their trusted point of contact from the first agreement through project completion. This expanded responsibility carries a separate incentive program for qualifying projects.
