Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Science Teacher with an SEI Endorsement who is highly qualified to join our community of learners and leaders.

Reports to: Principal/Head of School. This role requires teaching General Science in an SEI setting, delivering an interdisciplinary, standards-aligned curriculum, and using district assessments to guide instruction. Commitment to equity and high expectations is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in General Science at the appropriate grade level.
• Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching as outlined by BPS.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Science in an SEI setting.
• Provide an interdisciplinary course of study aligned to state frameworks.
• Implement district learning goals and district Science curriculum.
• Engage students in scientific inquiry and investigations.
• Develop students' ability to see science as a way of thinking.
• Administer district assessments per guidelines.
