Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in General Science at the appropriate grade level.
• Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching as outlined by Boston Public Schools.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Science in an SEI setting.
• Provide an interdisciplinary course of study aligned to state curricular frameworks.
• Implement district learning goals and district science curriculum.
• Use research-based district curriculum and encourage scientific inquiry.
• Develop students’ capacity to think and investigate scientifically.
• Administer district mid-year and end-of-year assessments.
