Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary Teacher with an SEI endorsement to join a community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This long-term substitute position will start on 11/02/2026 and end on 03/10/2027, with per diem pay at the outset.

Reports to the Principal/Head of School and emphasizes high expectations and equitable instruction. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary curriculum integration, utilization of district-supported curriculum, and ongoing assessments

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor's degree and a MA teaching license in Elementary 1-6 with SEI endorsement or ESL certification.
• Meet all state guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach as an Elementary Teacher in an SEI setting.
• Provide an interdisciplinary course of study aligned with state standards.
• Implement district learning goals and use district curriculum.
• Create a developmentally appropriate, positive classroom environment.
• Establish classroom structure with positive relationships.
• Administer district mid-year and end-of-year assessments.
