Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree and MA teaching license in Moderate Disabilities.
• Holding ESL license or SEI endorsement is required.
• Meet all state/federal licensing requirements to be Highly Qualified.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Implement district learning goals and objectives, in alignment with state frameworks, familiarity with student portfolio development.
• Provide small-group instruction to students diagnosed with moderate to severe cognitive delays to ensure understanding and progress in the general curriculum.
• Write and implement goals and objectives consistent with student IEPs and provide progress reports on student development.
• Provide needed accommodations for student learning and testing; develop and implement curriculum and collect/analyze student work for MCAS Alternative Assessment progress.
• Collaborate as a team member within the school to support modification and student needs.
