Job summary

Ferrovial Construction seeks a senior Survey Engineer to lead survey crews, establish control networks, and manage 3D model interfaces using ORD. You will ensure QA/QC of field data with TBC and coordinate with BIM/design teams on corridor projects like I-24 and related sections.

Strong leadership and DOT-standard compliance are essential. The role emphasizes drone-based progress verification, UAS workflows, and precise quantity measurements for pay estimates, with a focus on safety and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Survey Engineering, Geomatics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–8 years of progressive survey experience in heavy civil, highway or bridge construction.
• Expert-level ORD proficiency for corridor modeling, alignments, surfaces, and 3D model review.
• Expert-level TBC for data processing, adjustments, surfaces and volumetric calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise survey crews and field technicians for mainline, bridges and related work.
• Establish and verify horizontal/vertical control networks tied to Master control network.
• Own the 3D design model interface using ORD, coordinating with BIM/design teams.
• Process and QA/QC field survey data using TBC including GNSS and laser scanning.
• Produce monthly production and quantity measurements against Master quantities.
• Deploy RTK GNSS, 3D laser scanning, and UAS for progress verification and as‑built data.
